Milagros (Miracles)

Well it has been quite some time since I sent one of these out but I've been way way wayyyy busy so it's been good! We have had some absolute amazing miracles happen so I'll hit some of the highlights! SPANISH BRANCH So since the start of my mission down in Molalla we have had an objective that we have been slowly but surely working towards... reforming a Spanish branch! And so after about 3.5 months we officially did it! The stake presidency submitted the paperwork to have a branch formed here again! When we heard that news it was just so amazing to hear. All the hours and hours of visiting members and serving them and doing all that we could to help them has paid off!! I'm so happy for the Spanish members in this area and the opportunity they will have to meet together in their native language. This gospel is meant for all of God's children and it's amazing to see how he moves his work forward in every language! NEW COMP This most recent transfer Elder Ordyna left ro Mexico and now I am with ELDER CLEVERLY!! And this guy is seriously just money. He's only been out a couple transfers but he's so motivated and willing to work so it's been awesome!! BAPTISMSSSSS Our main man BARRET is going to be baptized on the 14th!!! We found him a while ago while helping him move into his apartment! It has been such a crazy journey for him but he has just absolutely received a witness that this church is true and he is ready to take this next step! I can't wait for the gospel to continually bless him for the rest of his life. Also we had the chance to give Barret a blessing this past week because he has been having some health problems. It was amazing to feel the spirit so strongly as I felt impressions and thoughts of what I should say to help comfort and bless him. At the end he was very grateful and emotional and you could just tell he felt the spirit so strongly! Our other main man JOE is going to be baptized on the 19th!!! This guy has been so willing to learn and accept the gospel it has been amazing!! It was actually pretty amazing we had him on date for the 14th and then he said he wanted to push it back to the 27th just so he could have more time to learn and understand. So we totally understood and kept moving forward. Then one day after we had a really good lesson with him he called us up out of the blue and said there was no reason why he shouldn't be baptized earlier! He basically just said he knows there is a lot to learn but he has the faith to take that next step of baptism! It was a MIRACLE! SERVICE The constant grind of service has been nonstop since coming down to Molalla and I love it!! Service has been such a great time to physically help those who need it. It's so awesome seeing the instant gratitude people have when we take the opportunity to help them. SERVICE = MIRACLES Speaking of service many people we have found and started to teach have all started from one simple act of service. For example just this past week we were headed to a service at a members property. As we were pulling out we saw a couple that was moving a bunch of stuff all piled up on the sidewalk into their new apartment. So naturally we offered our help and they were so grateful! We got them all moved in and then exchanged numbers and set up a time to meet! Then that same day we came back about 3 hours later and we saw the same couple with a truck with a HUGE couch that they needed moved into the apartment too. Basically needless to say we were there at the exact times they needed us haha! And then we had a lesson with them and we introduced who we are and what we do as missionaries and they were very inspired about how we were there when they needed us most. They got a little emotional expressing how much of a help we were because they had no idea how they were going to get moved in without help and then there we were! We testified of our purpose as missionaries and then invited them to take the lessons and they accepted!! REASONER FAM We have been teaching this lady who has been inactive for like 50 years and her 9 year old grandson and they are awesome! She has had lots of problems coming back to church since she has had some bad experiences w the members there but we gave her the link to watch virtually and she has been loving it. She wrote us this huge long text saying how grateful she is for us coming to see her and how she is starting to feel her testimony grow again! OBEDIENCE BRINGS BLESSINGS AND HAPPINESS (MOSIAH 2:41) This scripture rings so true to me as a missionary. As we have been staying obedient and faithful in this work we have seen true miracles. It's been amazing to see the spirit testify to others as we teach. I am finding so much joy in this work as we have been teaching people and changing lives. This gospel is true and I have seen others come to know this same truth and I love it!
