Ice Storms!?!?

Heyyyy what's up everybody!!! Its been a while but the work just keeps moving along down here in Molalla!

ICE STORMS!?!? So yeaaa a few weeks ago we were hit with some of the worst ice storms Oregon has ever seen. We woke up one morning to the sound of trees falling and branches snapping everywhere! The ice had stuck on everything and caused a lot of damage. Then later that day the the three main cities in our zone (Molalla, Canby, and Oregon city) all lost power and cell service. So we had to tough it out for a few days but we made it out alive haha! BAPTISMS Also during this time of chaos we had Baretts baptism scheduled for the 14th. So we had to scramble last minute to get in touch with members and leaders to see if we could do this baptism. In the end we got the all clear and we had a very small and dark yet very spiritual baptism!! It was crazy we only had one light and about 10 people there and the water was freezing but hey it worked out in the end!! You could see Barrets love of Christ and his willingness to follow him trump all the crazy circumstances of that day! Also, Barret has now found this amazing desire to do all that he can to help others learn about the things he has come to know! We had an awesome lesson with a couple that we are teaching (Zach and Lakaena) where he was there and had the opportunity to bear very powerful testimony of the journey he has made and how he knows this is Christs church restored to the earth! Its amazing to see God work miracles through those who are humble and willing to be an instrument in his hands! Later that week Joe was also baptized and confirmed a member of the church! At this baptism we thankfully had electricity and more people and warm water so it was good! It's amazing to see the progress that our people have made from the start of teaching them to their baptisms. Both Joe and Barret now have such a new light about them. They are both so willing to continue learning and progressing in the church and I'm so excited to see all that they will do and accomplish in the future! THE WORK CONTINUES We have so many amazing experiences and success these past couple months but we are continuing to work hard and find others that are ready to come unto Christ and follow him! We recently found a family through Facebook who needed some help picking up branches on their property. We came to find that they have a strong Christian belief and know a lot of awesome families in the ward! They were so nice they even invited us back to have dinner with their family! It's amazing to see how God puts us in the path of so many amazing people who are willing to let us in their homes. **Also most recent news is that I am headed to the Gresham area in Spanish!! I've loved my time Molalla and the chance I have had to get to know the people and the ward! But I'm also very excited to meet more amazing people and have more awesome experiences in Gresham! Here are some pics from the last few weeks!
